High Tea in London

High Tea is a fashionable way to catch up with friends and is an afternoon ritual in much of Britain.

Also known as afternoon tea, it is a light meal usually composed of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet cakes and of course, hot tea.

The Tea Guild Awards honor world-famous London hotels and tea rooms. This is a highly coveted award and is considered the “Oscars” of the tea world. The Tea Guild judges for exceptional service, staff knowledge and quality of the tea.

The top five picks are The Althenaeum Hotel, The Intercontinental Park Lane, Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane, The Royal Garden Hotel and The Capital Hotel.

Let us plan your London vacation so you, too, can experience high tea!
